Sea Jelly – Stardew Valley Guide

You can also harvest Sea Jelly from Flounder fish ponds with at least seven Flounder in them, or from the Bookseller in exchange for the Jewels of the Sea book if you’ve already learned the skills enclosed in the book.

You may also receive a Sea Jelly as a gift from a Turtle pet with max hearts.

Fishing Sea Jelly up with your Fishing Pole is the most reliable way of finding it, however, especially if the Bookseller is in town and you don’t have a Flounder pond. But even though fishing is the best way to find Sea Jelly, it’s still a rare resource that may take some time to find. Here are some tips to make finding Sea Jelly a little easier.

Use Bait and a Lure

Fishing with just your Fishing Pole will work, but it will take much longer to find the Sea Jelly you’re searching for. Bait or Deluxe Bait will increase the rate at which fish bite your line, meaning you have to spend less time waiting and more time actually fishing.

Couple this with a lure like the Dressed Lure, for example, which also makes fish bite more frequently. Time is precious in Stardew Valley, and the more bites you get, the more chances you have of finding the elusive Sea Jelly.

Increase Your Luck

Fishing up Cave Jelly, Sea Jelly, or River Jelly requires a decent amount of luck. It’s an incredibly rare resource, and there is only a small percentage of encountering it. You can increase those chances, however, by fishing on good luck days and by boosting your luck even further with meals like the Lucky Lunch, Pumpkin Soup, Shrimp Cocktail, Magic Rock Candy, and others.
