**Senior Alert** Haley is an 8-year-old Pit Terrier Mix who sadly lost both of her parents within a few weeks of each other. After this loss, she’s in need of a lot of love and care from anyone willing to give it. She is still a bit nervous but is slowly showing shelter staff her gentle spirit and her affectionate side. She has a small weight problem but is overall very healthy. Haley is an affectionate dog, but she can be a bit protective sometimes, so her ideal home would be without children. Haley has experience living with a cat and another smaller dog who she would often play with.
If you are interested in meeting Haley, please call 631-360-7575 for more information.
Available for adoption through Alleykatz

**Double Adoption** Aretha and Isabella are bonded 2-year-old besties who would prefer a home with no dogs or children. They like other cats and would make a great addition to a home with an older couple or a single pet parent. They will need a little patience as they can be shy at first, but once they open up- they’ll steal your heart for good!
Maya is a sweet 1-year-old gal who would do best with children 10+.
Joey, Nick, and Kevin are 5-month-old siblings. All are litter box trained and ready to go home with you today! Each once likes to play fetch and will come running for your attention. They enjoy the company of other cats too. These guys don’t need to be adopted together but they would thrive in a home where they could remain together forever!

Last summer, 1-year-old Tigra (Adoption #BF3491) was rescued from the local streets in dire need of medical attention due to an eye injury. NSALA medical team relieved her pain with surgery, but Tigra remained fearful from her survival experiences outside. They’ve provided this sleek one-eyed beauty all the time and space she needs in a quiet place where she is surrounded by caring friends—both human and feline—who are cheering on her every bit of progress. They’ve discovered that although she is still quite uncertain around humans, she transforms into a completely different cat among other feline friends. She can’t get enough of playtime! When it’s time to nap, Tigra is always available to be a friend’s little spoon. Tigra will need a predictable home with no children under 16 years of age, and adults experienced in nurturing fearful cats. Time and patience will yield great rewards, but a confident cat in the home will be the most valuable part of the team to help her reach success. If you have a cat longing for an ardent admirer, Tigra would love to commit to a loving relationship with them!
Prior to 4-year-old Ballerina’s (Adoption #BF3673) caretaker moving, she wanted to provide Ballerina with a safer alternative to the life she’d been living. Animal League America has provided this tender orange tabby with that safe place and has offered her all the time she needs to learn to trust humans on the inside after a lifetime of surviving outside. Although she may seem aloof to new friends, she’s become very attached to the most trusted companions caring for her who have observed an affectionate side to her when she’s mingling with feline friends. A confident cat in the home will show her how to gain confidence in her new setting. NSALA wants Ballerina to continue to grow into a loving family member, and are seeking a peaceful, predictable life to help her continue to succeed in a new home—her first one! If you have children 12 years old and older, and experience with fearful cats, you could be the hero Ballerina has been waiting for.
**Senior Alert** You know Dasher and Dancer and all the rest, but do you know about the sweetest senior tabby of all? NSALA has been nurturing remarkable 9-year-old Rudy the Red Nosed Kitty (Adoption #H210437) in a quiet room where he’s taken his sweet time getting to know the humans who now care for him, while still sharing the space with his clowder who were rescued with him last spring. Rudy’s fearfulness kept him from opening up to new possibilities, but recently he’s discovered lower shelves where he can receive ear rubs and reassurances that he’s safe and sound in our care until an adoptive family discovers him. You may find him piled up with feline friends in a comforting cuddle. NSALA wants this timid tabby’s future to be calm and nurturing so we are searching for an adult household with experience and patience in loving fearful felines. Rudy will lean on a confident companion in your home to sooth him in his new setting, or you can take one of his friends home with him! Either way, he’ll be lighting his way straight to your compassionate heart.
NSALA’s medical team are card-carrying members of the Alexander (Adoption #H210286) fan club! This precious boy survived some difficult days, but better ones are ahead for him now that he’s received great care for heart conditions and a wound he endured before he arrived. Alexander takes his meds in a meatball like a very good boy—how simple is that?! With a plan in place to optimize his health, and the support of NSALA’s Pet Health Centers in Port Washington, nothing is standing in his way. He may seem a tad shy at first, but he’s just reserving his affection for the right ear rubber. He’ll be melting in your hands in no time, and staff anticipates a very happily ever after shared between one deserving boy and his favorite human. Ideally, he would find a permanent spot in a peaceful home (one with children age six and older would be ideal.) Everyone thinks Alexander the Great is awesome—and you will too!
**Double Adoption**Nothing’s going to put out the flame of love between 7-month-olds Blaze (Adoption #NCR6146) and Ember (Adoption #NCR6147). Although they’re nervous about what’s ahead for them, NSALA promised their home will be peaceful and loving. Children ten and older will appreciate how easy it is to coax the shyness from them with a bit of patience. These bonded besties traveled all the way from North Carolina to be discovered by you. Don’t disappoint them. You’ll find your heart on fire when you meet Blaze and Ember!
Beautiful Betty (Adoption #H211096) is quietly observing all the excitement that surrounds her in her fabulous sun-drenched room in Bianca’s Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center. This 6-month-old local rescue is pinching herself over her good fortune. Wait until she realizes how great it feels to be loved by an adoring family. Want a little someone sweet to keep you company? Betty is ready to call you hers!
*Double Adoption* Everyone at Bianca’s Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center is quite smitten with 2-year-olds Margie (Adoption #BF2509) and Marjorie (Adoption #BF2511), but they’ve yet to find a home that befits their shy disposition. All this bonded set of sisters asks for is some patience, a predictable home to settle into, and purrhaps some treats to sweeten the deal. A home with children ages eight and older and cat-experienced adults will reassure them they are safe to relax and enjoy the playtime and ear rubs they’ve come to cherish from their trusted Animal League America team. Are you the elusive perfect home for this pair?
